Only the miraculous Hawaiian surfing instructor Joey Caroll could make this Trandem surf session look easy! Trying to balance a surfboard with two cute as pie giggling girls dancing on it is a challenge. Yesterday Charlotte and Maddy, two surfing best friends visiting Waikiki from Sydney, Australia had the time of their lives. The two surfing princesses aged 5, wanted to do everything together so the Ty Gurney Surf School instructors made their wish come true! Tandem lessons are a great way to introduce kids to surfing and water safety. Having the instructor on the same board gives children the confidence to ride the big waves; so in the future they can ride their own surfboard. It is just like a ride at Disneyland!

Tandem surfing with Ty and his instructors is how my kids learned to surf. It’s so much fun for them and definitely a confidence builder!
I think that is a GREAT idea! I have 2 girls about the same age and they would feel more comfortable learning this way. Our next Hawaii trip is going to be to Oahu and a visit to Ty Gurney!
