The Ty Gurney Surf School has a variety of surf lessons and programs to choose from. Lessons can be booked in one-hour, two-hour and personalized build-your-own-surf tours.
Hotel pick up can be arranged for two-hour, half-day and full-day surf tours.
Complete your booking (including payment) 48 or more hours before your lesson time and receive a whopping 10% off of the fee. Yes, TEN PERCENT! Complete your transaction 12-48 hours before your lesson time and receive 5% off. This is no chump change!

We will soon have an online PayPal shopping cart, but in the meantime in order to get your discount, we need to receive your request for a lesson with enough time for one of the following to then happen:
1. We issue you a PayPal invoice and have you complete the transaction,
2. You and us to get on the phone together so we can get your credit card info over the phone, or
or 3. Send us a check and have it clear (this takes many days, but we are totally open to it)
* Please note: if your discounted payment arrives to us too late, and you are underpaid, the balance will be due before the lesson can start. Thanks for understanding.

Beginner Lessons
Includes a ten minute land lesson to cover surfing basics and water safety, surfboard, rash guard, individualized instruction with a guarantee to surf.

For more advanced surfers Ty will work with you to create the optimum surf experience in Hawaii.
Romantic Sunset Surf Package
If you are visiting Oahu for a romantic occasion, whether it's a wedding, honeymoon or anniversary, we can arrange a private, exciting, and romantic surf experience for you and your partner. Celebrate your special occasion as the sun sets, painting the sky reds and purples as it drops into the ocean. Suitable for first time students and advanced surfers, you'll have your own instructor who will make sure you're at the best break with the best waves as the sun drops. With the iconic Diamond Head view in the background we will teach you to surf and capture this special moment with video and photography. This package includes a full HD movie and photographs for your keepsake. It doesn't get more romantic or starry-eyed than this!
